Every design tells a story, and this wallpaper project was inspired by the Iberian lynx, is a carefully protected species in Portugal. Designed for screen printing in three different colours, the pattern captures the essence of this elusive feline in a playful composition.​ This design was awarded first place by Daniel Heath Studio, a recognition that reinforced my passion for storytelling through pattern and illustration. Daniels feedback: 'Good stylised drawing and range of marks in the imagery. The composition development has helped to generate a strong outcome and the colours work really well in the setting of a sophisticated, yet playful room.'

 

The final result is a versatile print, ideal for a children's or junior bedroom, bringing a sense of adventure and appreciation for wildlife into the space. While originally designed in a specific colourway, the pattern’s adaptability makes it suitable for a range of palettes, allowing for different moods and aesthetics.​ This project reflects my commitment to blending cultural heritage with contemporary style while raising awareness about endangered species through design.
