Born from a passion for cultural storytelling and playful design, Maria creates vibrant prints for interiors and fashion. Maria’s work blends traditional and modern elements, drawing inspiration from her Portuguese heritage, bringing a thoughtful approach to every project.

a little about Maria
Through her experience at Leeds Art University, she developed a variety of skills for completing design projects. Competent in both the creative and practical aspects of her work, allowing her to manage projects efficiently. Throughout her educational journey, she created various design projects for diverse sectors, often linking the context with her own culture, aesthetic, and knowledge.
During her internship at Karolina York in 2024, Maria gained hands-on experience creating artwork and illustrations for designers and developing designs from start to finish. She consistently delivered high-quality work that met the team's needs while refining her creativity, attention to detail, and time management skills. This experience marked a valuable milestone in her journey as a textile print designer.
Her unique style is inspired by Portuguese heritage, since child she lived in a rural area in Portugal, place where learned to appreciate nature and culture.
